Karen is the Unit Manager for the Assisted Conception Unit and Fertility Services at the Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust Hospital a post she has held for over 20 years. Karen is the current Chairperson of the British Fertility Society Training Committee and is also the current Nurse Executive on the British Fertility Society Executive Committee. Karen is actively involved in promoting education and training of nursing and medical personnel in the field of Reproductive Medicine and is a recognised trainer for the British Fertility Society. One of the first 12 nurses in the UK to become an Independent Nurse Prescriber.
Karen has been heavily involved both regionally and nationally on the provision and access of fertility treatments and has long promoted ‘an active evidence-based management’ of fertility investigation and management in order to allow timely access to appropriate treatment.
Karen very much focuses on both the emotional and physical needs of individuals or couples referred to her and is dedicated to delivering individualised care of the highest quality.
